Your wedding day is the most important day of your life and having the right music and atmosphere for the evening entertainment is essential.
With over 25 years experience of providing music for wedding receptions you can rely on REMEMBER THIS DISCO to provide the right mix of music for you and your guests whatever their ages. Whilst your guests may not remember what they ate, their last memory will be of the music. We will entertain your grandparents and your coolest of friends with a tailor made mix of music for them. It has to be perfect and as Sarah & Adam said: "just wanted to say a massive thank you for putting on such a good disco on Saturday night, everyone had an amazing time, you were just perfect! "

We will usually set up before your guests sit down for the wedding breakfast, subject to the venue and timings permitting, to ensure you and your guests are not disturbed. Background music (BGM) can be supplied with your choice of genre(s), which could be easy listening, classical, love songs or any other theme you choose. If BGM is provided, microphones will be available and radio microphones are available for speeches at no extra cost. As we have two sets of sound equipment, we may be able to provide BGM in a seperate room.
For those operating on a tight budget, we can also perform "Toastmaster" duties and introduce the speakers. This is a very cost effective way to make sure your day runs smoothly. This is what Holly and Ryan said "Thank you so much both of you! You were amazing" and in her review Holly said"Graham, I don’t think I can thank you enough for how amazing our music and disco was last night for our wedding! With the lead up to the wedding Graham kept in contact with us seeing how our planning was going! Graham asked us about the music we liked and if there was anything more he could do such as announcing and introducing toasters and he did that and more! Gave a helping hand setting up, himself and his wonderful wife pouring drinks and setting up tables and allowed us the use of mics for speeches and for our niece to sing. Graham responded to all the request of music and honestly had the whole room bouncing! Again I have had so much praise on how wonderful all the lighting was especially with our names! I don’t think I could recommend Remember This Disco enough, I know where to go whenever I need a music or disco again! THANK YOU AGAIN!" We are proud of the reviews like this that we get.
Barns, marquees and village halls can be transformed by uplighters and coloured spotlights and our fog machine*. We can colour wash any venue to co-ordinate with your wedding colours. If external uplighters are not provided by the venue, we can arrange these at an extra cost.
If you are expecting lots of children for your wedding celebration, we can also help you source a face painter or entertainer to help entertain the children. If we know in advance we can do a few children's games to keep them amused.
Using our laser text we can, subject to venue size and layout, put your names up in lights.
You could have your own gobo slide too! This is a great way to personalise your event, and we can arrange this for you. Images like this these cost around £200 + VAT each for you to keep. We can also provide similar gobos using a laptop and projector for a fraction of this cost.
A current trend is to play the wedding shoe game - a version of Mr. & Mrs. where the bride and groom sit back to back and answer question by holding up either their own or their partner's shoe. We have a great list of questions to ask and like to customise the game by getting some special knowledge about the Bride & Groom. If you would like us to do this, just ask.
It is traditional that the bride and groom start the dancing with a special love song and if you wish we will help you choose from our extensive music library. Remember that you need to have a wedding song that you can move to! If you have no idea, listen to Westlife's "Beautiful In White" or there is Nathan Sykes of "Wanted" fame's Over and Over Again" or John Legend's "All Of Me" (we have an uptempo dance version of this too), and this apparently was the first song at Kim Kardashian's wedding. Ed Sheeran wrote "Thinking Out Loud" to be a friend's first dance, and "Perfect" has also now become popular. For traditionalists there are Nat King Cole's "When I Fall In Love" or Van Morrison's "Have I Told You Lately" , for "Crooners" try Andy Williams' "Hawaiian Wedding Song" (featured in Hawaii 5-0) or for a country tear jerker try Gretchen Peters - "When You Are Old" or Brett Young - "In Case You Didn't Know" . We can help with songs for father/daughter and mother/son dances too. A couple of great father/daughter dances are Bob Carlisle - Butterfly Kisses and Heartland - "I Loved Her First" As a tip, if you want your guests to join you for your first dance or for the second song, pick a track that is well known and that your guests, who are usually of all ages, will feel comfortable with.
Some bride-to-be magazines tell you that if you have a good DJ he will take a playlist. We are always happy to help you with your playlist to ensure that you hear the music you want to hear and that your wedding party is one to remember. We think a really good DJ will read the crowd and the best evenings are where we balance a small playlist with our blend of favourites and current hits, and requests on the night. Please don't ask 100 guests to each choose a song for us to play in a 3 hour set as about 16 tracks per hour is the norm and half will be left disappointed! It is worth pointing out from years of experience that party guests like to be able to request music on the evening and are usually disappointed when they cannot do this because a full playlist is provided.
If you would like a pre-wedding meeting for an hour to discuss music, timings, or anything to do with your special day this can be arranged within the quotation. Our wealth of experience of wedding days may be useful in your planning process.
